@Phawit_K If you are requesting an ACATS outgoing stock transfer, those are always handled by the receiving broker. If you want to move securities from your Alpaca account to an account with another broker, you will need to make that request with the other broker. They will contact Alpaca. There is nothing Alpaca needs from you.

Each broker has a bit different process and forms but they typically need the following information:

1. Alpaca’s Clearing Information

  • Broker Name: Alpaca Securities LLC
  • DTC / NSCC Participant Number: 3021
  • Clearing Firm: Alpaca Securities
  • MPID: APCA

2. Your Alpaca Account Details

  • Account Number: Your 9-digit account number, which you can find directly in your Alpaca dashboard profile or on your monthly statements.
  • Account Type: Individual Margin
  • Legal Name & Tax ID: Your name and SSN/Tax ID on the new account must exactly match those on your Alpaca account.

3. Required Document

  • Alpaca Account Statement: Download and supply your most recent monthly statement in PDF format. You can find this in the Alpaca web dashboard under your account documents.

Alpaca also has some specific constraints on what can be transferred.

  • Fractional Shares: Alpaca supports fractional share trading, but fractional shares cannot be transferred via ACATS. If you request a Full Transfer, Alpaca will automatically liquidate any fractional components to cash and transfer the cash balance along with your whole shares.
  • Unsupported Crypto and OTC Assets: If you hold cryptocurrencies (via Alpaca Crypto) or non-tradable OTC stocks, these cannot move via ACATS. You must either sell them to cash before initiating a full transfer, or choose a “Partial Transfer” to leave them behind.
  • API and Trading Halts: Ensure your algorithms, trading bots, or active API keys are completely turned off and have no pending orders before submitting the transfer request. Active trading activity while an ACATS is processing will cause an immediate transfer failure.

Hope that helps.
