Can't get help to fund my account

Hi, I reached out on Friday to support@alpacamarkets.com and on Monday received a Delivery Status notification (failure), message not delivered, ‘the recipient server did not accept our requests to connect’. This was from gmail. So on Tuesday about 24 hours ago I sent another email, included my account 336601595, and have not received anything back, not even an automated acknowledgement.

I had been warned by my algorithm company that there was no phone support with Alpaca. There is evidently little to no any kind of support. I’m going to another broker, Webull was recommended.

@mwood39 I see your support request number 335454 and you should have received a response last Tuesday August 11. That response included several things to try when getting an error attempting to connect an account through Plaid.

Reply to that support email if you are still having issues. If you cannot find that email, post back here and I can have it resent.

Apologies for any of the issues you’re seeing.

Hi thank you, the only email I have from Alpaca Support is the auto email that I set up my account. no one has replied to my specific question.

@mwood39 The email you should have received from support looked something like this:

The “connection pending, please wait” message you are seeing when trying to link your Fidelity account is most likely a Plaid connection issue rather than a normal funding delay.

This usually happens if Plaid is still trying to verify the connection or if the link was interrupted or removed for security reasons.

To troubleshoot, please try the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Alpaca account and go to the Funds section.
  2. If another bank is already linked, unlink it, then select Direct Bank Transfer (ACH) and relink your Fidelity account by following the Plaid prompts.
  3. Confirm the Fidelity account is in your own name and that your institution supports Plaid. If the dashboard does not update, refresh or re-authenticate your session and try again.

The most common issue is a name mismatch between the Alpaca account and the linked account. Ensure the names are identical. If you are still having issues, send another email to support@alpaca.markets and reference ticket 335454. You should always get a reply indicating a new support ticket number within several minutes. If you do not, check your spam folder.

I also see you are linking a Fidelity account. If that is a trading account and you are attempting to move cash or securities, than that is an ACATS transfer and is initiated in a bit different way.
