I’m trying to do a withdrawal but the withdrawable amount shows $0.00 i need help.
Generally, one can only withdraw positive settled cash in ones account. This implies one cannot withdraw if there is existing borrowed margin (ie one cannot withdraw borrowed funds) and one needs to wait 2 trading days after the sale of any securities for funds to ‘settle’ in the account.
Does that seem like it may be the issue? If you would like more account specific help, send an email to support@alpaca.markets. I’m having the same problem and it makes no sense to me…
I’m using Alpaca, for my income oriented portfolio and I’m receiving hundreads of us dollars per week from dividends and premiums.
I’m not using all of the margin you give, I’m only using around 1.5x more or less…
I don’t want to withdrawal borrowed money, I just want to withdrawal part of the dividends/premiums I receive. It will not change my margin for the worst, it will be the same as before i received that money in my account.
Are you sure other brokers work like this too?
Because many people use margin to get more dividends… It’s normal / standar procedure.
I think we should be able to withdraw in these specific situations!
Although when resorting to alpaca’s support, they say I can’t withdrawal because not enough days have passed, since my last deposit… However, as I’m using margin, I get confused at what is the real reason I can’t withdrawl?!
