I would love for Alpaca to support index options - cash-settlement and preferential tax treatment make them great trading instruments.
I saw this: Alpaca Support and wanted to check in on where Alpaca stands. Is this something you’re thinking about implementing in 2025?
I’d like to 2nd this. I’m reworking an automated algo on a different platform due to this lack of support, but I’d really rather trade here on Alpaca due to familiarity.

What you’re looking for is the alpaca dev roadmap. @Dan_Whitnable_Alpaca keeps mentioning the existence of a roadmap but I have yet to find one anywhere.
Would it be possible to get an update on the support for index option trading. Specifically VIX options, but other index options are well. These are very useful tools for hedging strategies which are currently unavailable on this platform.

Never saw any update on this or my question regarding options on indexes (SPX for example). Is there any plan to support futures and index options, and if so when. These items are very useful for things like hedging strategies.
