Does Alpaca support options trading? I’ve looked through the docs, though not very deeply, and haven’t found references to any supported options trading.

We do not currently support options trading, but it’s in our pipeline!

can you make a guess about WHEN the trading of options will be supported by Alpaca?

I won’t hold you to it; but can you “ballpark” it? will it be in the next year?

And, do the developers at Alpaca have some prototypes running?

I’d love to see this feature along with spread options.

Any update? Please implement option trading. It’s very useful on trading stocks and sometime huge profitable.

I’m also following this. Here are the last official communications I’ve seen:

  • 2022-12-27: Slack Thread from Dec 2021 in which Allen Spence took feedback from the community and mentioned they are starting to plan their options offering.
  • 2022-01-18: Dan Whitnable confirmed they are in the plan, but not in Q1-2022.
