Paper account goes from $100k to $0 overnight - no transactions

Hi Dan,

I had to delete the paper account and recreate it so I could continue my testing. One note. I had a $10k paper account that had transactions restricted by PDT rule. I deleted that account and created a $100k paper account. That’s the one that went to $0 overnight. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.

Did anything ever come of this? I’m having the same issue with my accounts.

@Philip_Ferrari What is the paper account number? I may be able to do some checking.

I’ve deleted and recreated multiple accounts because Alpaca does not let you reset the amount of money without doing so, unless I’m just not aware of how it’s done. Because of that, I’m not able to give you an account number that it’s happened on. Seems to only happen right after i create a new account and let it sit over night.

I have an account with the same issue. here’s my account number: PA34KL4AR77D for potential investigations.

In the meantime I created a separate account for testing.

What values are you looking at and/or what circumstances make you feel the account goes to $0? Are you seeing that in the dashboard or are those numbers returned in the API? What is the name of the field you were looking at that you see $0?

I just had the same problem…had about 20 or so positions open 3 hours before posting this message. I just checked the account, and I know I didn’t sell or make any transactions and the money went from 97K to 90.5K and no positions, almost as if I liquidated all positions

I just had the same issue this morning, over $77k in positions disappeared overnight with no record of them being sold or getting the proceeds. Here’s the paper account: PA3RISTNVXD1

It’s just paper but a weird bug
