Was also going to use alpaca until I realized just now they don’t support options trading. Hopefully will come soon!
+1. I’m focusing on stocks for now, but will eventually need options… if Alpaca gets options trading then I’ll never need to switch to a new broker.
My experience with Alpaca has been amazing so far, and my code is all set up for Alpaca, so I’m actually really hoping I don’t have to switch in the future

Any update on futures trading availability on Alpaca? We are actively working on a trading algorithm but need this - so far love Alpaca but this is key and we’ll have to look elsewhere if it is not on the roadmap?

Add my name to the list. Pretty sure adding options would add a ton of new users and capital to the platform. I’d move everything I have here if that happened.

Cryptocurrency has early access now. However, options is more important than Cryptocurrency for me for now. It can reduce required investment capital hence increasing profit and also reduce risk as the market is raising too quick. Cryptocurrency is still too risky for me to put much money on it. Options trading is definitely needed at higher priority. I could need to switch my trading to another broker because limited profit without options.
just checking in if there are options on the roadmap. in the meantime, interactive brokers has my business.
