Is not there something wrong? with the pricing, price quotations?

something seems wrong with Alpaca’s pricing.
I buy (alpaca sells to me!) PDEX at $22.71.

ticker: PDEX
2/10/2022-1130hrs:

robinhood says max today (2/10/2022-1130hrs) is $22.10
google says the max is $22.19
yahoo says the max is $22.10

but Alpaca sells the same stock (PDEX) to me at $22.71.

sorry, I donot care which data sources/method Alpaca uses.
but this is totally wrong!!!
to me, it seems alpaca users pay hidden charges thru price modifications for the transactions.
anyhow, good luck to all.
I am out of here…

Having similar issues. I’m using the API method get_last_quote() and I’m getting very inaccurate ask/bid quotes. Raised this issue with support but they still haven’t found a solution. I’ve had a paying account now for almost 2 weeks. My algorithm would have been ready to launch if not for this problem.

@TEKNECI @drayarms Are you using the paid data subscription, or the free one?

I have the paid subscription.
but, what it has to do with data subscription?
this is about trading, trades that I do now/today, not about the historical data.

my question is:
why I am paying for a ticker more than max. rate quoted by other providers; yahoo, google, robinhood.

ticker: PDEX 2/10/2022-1130hrs:
robinhood says max today (2/10/2022-1130hrs) is $22.10
google says the max is $22.19
yahoo says the max is $22.10

but Alpaca sells the same stock to me at $22.71.

Same issue here. I compared polygon.io, Coinbase and yahoo finance prices and they are quite different than the alpaca’s execution prices. On top of that my profit and loss, order history and account balance are incorrect. Traded ETH and LTC which are quite liquid.
