@wolfhat No definite date but IRA accounts are on the roadmap. Stay tuned.
Would definitely like to have a ROTH IRA with Alpaca. That would eliminate the need to write code (and keep updated) for both Schwab and Alpaca APIs.
Please do this sooner rather than later

Did this ever happen? It’s an old thread but I don’t see the answer - I assume no?
EDIT: I think I just found the answer in another thread: not yet but “an active project with no ETA”. This is very disappointing as I’m getting kicked off TD Ameritrade and was looking for the best place to land. Guess I’m going to have to transition to the Schwab API for now which I have some concerns about.
@Baron_Young IRA accounts are definitely still in the plan but unfortunately no definite dates. Not until Q4 at the earliest.

Is there an option to use a self directed IRA through your platform?
The tax consequences are serious for all of us doing algorithmic trading with Alpaca, and IRA accounts would bypass the tax issues. A huge majority of the population of us also have our dedicated investment funds tied up in retirement accounts.
Please advise if we would have the possibility of setting a self directed IRA account with your brokerage.
@Kirk_Danielson Currently Alpaca doesn’t support IRA or other tax deferred accounts, however they are definitely on the road map. No date for when they may be available though.
