How to get the current "Borrow Rate" of a stock?

Hi there!

Alpaca documentation (https://alpaca.markets/docs/trading-on-alpaca/margin-and-shorting/) has information about ETB/HTB classification, as well as the fee range (0.3 to 3%) for ETB stocks.

It is good, but not enough to me. Before doing a “short selling” of a stock, I would like to know its “borrow rate” at that moment. Programatically would be better!

Where/how to get this piece of information?

I am also looking for this information. Anyone ever able to find the relevant API to fetch ETB Borrow Rates ?

We don’t currently have transparency on the borrow rates as they are set by the clearing broker. If this is a feature you would like to see, please consider adding it to Feature Requests - Alpaca Community Forum
