I am running my algo overnight and am encountering an issue where, at some point during the night, my paper account value drops to 1-2$ and available cash shows a negative value that is equivalent to what the actual value should be.
I thought it might have something to do with open orders, but after cancelling them, the issue is still present.
As you can see from the screenshot, it says my portfolio is 2.88, but clearly the value of my positions exceeds that.
Can someone tell me what happened, how to correct, and how to prevent? I’m about ready to take this live but of course cannot do that until I know what is going on.

@Philip_Isles The difference you are seeing is probably the fees Alpaca charges for trading crypto? These fees are currently calculated and debited from the account at the end of each day after midnight. Take a look at the docs here.
I didn’t do the math, but the depending upon the type of order, the fees can be .25%. It appears you made 20 trades which resulted in fees of about $2.00.
Could that be the discrepancy?
Thank you for you response Dan,
Fees would not account for -188 in cash vs 200 equity.
However, I did find this post regarding negative cash balances: Why is my cash balance negative?
I changed my configuration to 1x multiplier and am no longer seeing the issue.
Once again, thank you for your insight.
