Why are crypto withdraws limited?

Dear Alpaca,

I’m avid user of your services for stocks and do see, that you slowly over time have worked on the crypto offerings. One thing i dont seem to understand is, why you have limited options of withdraw, when it comes to crypto. Forexample, you offer the option of buying PAXG/USD, but you dont offer the option to withdraw this, How come? I’m having a hard time figuring out, if it’s because you evaluate which assets you want users to use or if it’s perhaps a restriction in place from your sub-provider Fireblocks?

@Winsa Alpaca supports crypto withdrawals using “wallets”. There are a few constraints however. Take a look at this article for more information.

What is the point of offering a widespread of crypto, if we can’t withdraw it? Why is it forexample, that we can buy PAXG, but not withdraw it?

That guide / docs does not clarify it.
