  • Re Tickerly test error:

  • My Paper account is confirmed working — a manual trade on Alpaca went through fine.

  • My API key is correct, entered both Key ID and Secret.

  • Error 40110000 persists from Tickerly but not from manual trades.

  • Thoughts?

@Ralph_Freshour A 401 error indicates that the authentication credentials Tickerly is providing are not valid. I am not familiar with Tickerly, but according to their documentation, you will need to add Alpaca as an exchange. In Tickerly, navigate to “My Account” > “Add Exchange”. Select Alpaca from the list. Paste your Alpaca API Key and Secret Key into the Tickerly fields.

The other thing to note is that there are separate Alpaca API keys for each account. Specifically, you will need to enter your live account keys when accessing your live account and your paper account keys when accessing your paper account.

I’m pretty sure that’s what i have been doing. But it always fails a manual test.
