I’d like to implement exactly what is explained in the following Alpaca Article:

This article is from 2020 and predates API V2 release date, before I go down this rabbit hole, I wanted to double check that this is still supported and following this article still applies.

If there is more recent articles or instructions, any help would be greatly appreciated.
