Options Level 2 was approved on our entity account, then reverted to Level 1

Hello Alpaca team,

I am posting here to explain an issue we are facing with our entity options approval.

Our entity account is:

  • Brokerage Account ID: 204679051

We applied for options trading for the entity account through the required manual process.

What happened:

  1. Our account was initially showing Level 1 and required a manual application for Level 2.

  2. I completed the full options application, signed it, scanned it, and submitted it to Alpaca Support on 03/17/2026.

  3. After submission, Options Level 2 was approved on the account.

  4. Later, without any action from our side, the account reverted back to Level 1.

  5. When we contacted support again under request #281853, we received a reply saying that the account is currently only approved for Level 1 and that we would need to wait 60 days before applying again.

Our concern is that this is not a fresh upgrade request.
Level 2 had already been approved earlier after the manual application was submitted, and then it appears to have been changed back to Level 1 automatically or internally.

So the questions are:

  • Why was the previously approved Level 2 changed back to Level 1?

  • Why does a 60-day waiting period apply in a case where Level 2 had already been approved before?

  • Can Alpaca review the account history, prior requests, and support actions and restore the previously approved Level 2 status?

I have already signed and submitted the required application, and I can share the scanned application again for reference if needed.

Would appreciate it if someone from Alpaca could review the prior requests and approval history on this account and clarify what happened.
