As I dive into using the Alpaca API, I’m curious to know if it’s possible to run the live API without the necessity of demonstrating my app. My intention is to solely run it with live data for personal use. Could you provide insights into whether this is a viable option, and if so, any specific steps or considerations I should be aware of in this context?

Absolutely, individuals like you and me just make API calls from our programs (simple authorization via API key/secret). Making an “App” with OAuth integration is for brokers/banks etc. that wish to sell their services to their customers, using Alpaca in the background.
