Instant Settled Cash for Options - No more T+1

I would like to propose a feature request that gives instant settled cash for options trading. Instead of waiting T+1 after a trade so that a cash-covered put can be sold right after a trade is made.

Reasoning, when selling options with short days to expiry (say 5 days), one day is a very long time. Waiting a day to trade an option in this scenario can cost 20% of returns.

Alpaca cant change it. Only Securities and Exchange Commission can change it to T+0

Actually, Alpaca can change it. From a functional perspective, it is T+1 but from a margin perspective, it does not have to be the case, and it’s not on many platforms. IBKR, for example, frees up cash right away.
