I recently discovered Alpaca and I already tested some algorithms in Python using my paper account. Also streaming data works for me. I am surprised by the free services so far.
I would like to test my algorithms in Backtrader, so I tried the alpaca_backtrader_api. But the documentation says that this only works with a funded brokerage account. At this stage I don’t want to fund my account. Why has Alpaca chosen to offer the alpaca_backtrader_api only for funded accounts and is a workaround possible?
