Account hacked and money stolen to a crypto wallet!

Hello Alpaca Team,

I just had 2000$ stolen from my account through crypto transfers when I do not even do crypto trading!

here is how it happened:

  1. a transaction appeared suddenly whitelisting a crypto address followed by a buy order of
ETHUSD Market buy - 0.37644047 2,083.50
  1. This was followed immediately by a withdrawl of the same amount appearing in crypto transfers -
Out ETH NATIVE 0x37…2f23Transaction 0.37549937 Complete 05/27/2026 01:26 PM

I got auto alert email yesterday afternoon CET that a request has been made to add crypto address for whitelisting to which I immediately contacted Alpaca Support saying to block it (Case ID - 297166). however, no action was performed and to my utter bewilderment, it was whitelisted, and the transactions executed. I even tried to delete whitelisting and try to stop the transfer manually from my dashboard but it did not work!!

there is no answer from support inbox and no phone line for a customer agent! How and where can I get support please help me.

PS: not sure how else I can reach out to Alpaca other than the support email inbox therefore posting this on the forum.

Were you trading within Alpaca or connecting through the API?

@mm2025 the Alpaca support team has received your email and replied back to you on 2026-05-28 with some instructions. The Crypto and Security teams are reviewing the details and will email you back with updates.
