@Super_Richman CNTM (ConnectM Technology Solutions) stock was delisted from the Nasdaq Global Market in May 2025 due to failing to meet listing requirements. It now trades on the OTCQB Venture Market under the same ticker. Alpaca only provides data for exchange listed stocks (ie not OTC). The data stopped on 2025-05-06 when it was no longer exchange traded and simply forward filled after that date.
oh ok thanks Dan! if so then why is this ticker returned from the get assets endpoint (which most of the assets there - arround 17000 are otc)
thanks :)))
@Super_Richman The assets endpoint returns all assets which have ever been traded, or could have been traded, on Alpaca. In the case of CNTM notice a few things. First, status=active and tradable=false. What that means is if someone has the symbol in their account they can liquidate it (perhaps they owned it before it was delisted). However it’s not tradable in the sense that new positions cannot be opened. The key in this case is exchange=OTC. The data endpoints do not return data for any OTC symbols. Hope that makes sense?
yes thanks Dan! much clearer now
