Proper Approach for Modifying Orders

What is the proper approach for modifying attributes of an order (such as quantity or limit price) once an order has already been placed?

Is it suggested to cancel and replace the order?
Is there support for “modifying” these details on an existing order?

I think it’s a grey area. I followed the docs saying how to modify an order and the API raised no error but didn’t modify any orders either. When you need a modify an order, your safe bet is to cancel it and place a new one.
