I was planning to learn zipline and use it with Alpaca, since Alpaca’s data management sounded very attractive. Then I looked at the details and everything says “5+ years.” I’m confused by the references to Polygon data, not sure if I’m looking at the right thing.
Is it seriously limited to 5 yrs of EOD data? 5 yrs would be barely OK for intraday testing, but for EOD data that is unusably short. I won’t use anything that doesn’t include at least the 2007-2008 period, and I’d prefer coverage back before 2000.
