How are fractionable assets decided?

How do you decide which assets (specifically common stocks in nasdaq us and nyse) one is able to trade fractionable?

@BL4VAL The primary driver for determining if a symbol is fractionable is liquidity. There is also a sort of ‘soft rule’ that the shares need to be trading over $5 and less than $5000 (ie not BRK.A). If there is a specific symbol which you want to be fractionable, and currently isn’t, send an email to support@alpaca.markets and they may be able to accommodate you.

Thank you for your answer! I’m not interested in a specific stock but found that stocks that Alpaca do not list as fractionable have some nice properties and I’m interested in finding out how to define this universe more specifically. Are you able to provide more details?
