I am working on a bot that does fractional share trading using the api but I am getting locked out as a day trader even though I only have it running a few times a day. Has anyone else worked with this? I only have a basic account right now with a 100 in it as I am testing it out. I have heard this limitation will be dropped on June 15th of this year?
@gculbert70 Currently one can only make three day trades in a five day rolling window unless the previous end of day account equity is over $25,000. This restriction will be eliminated on June 4, 2026. Check out the documentation here for information on the transition to the new rules.
