It would be really great if Alpaca could offer Level 2 data for stocks. Not only would it be useful for algos but it would also make the paper trading simulated fills much more realistic. Currently, the paper trading simulator is completely random, so my Immediate-or-Cancel order fills are not at all realistic.
On the other hand, the Level 2 crypto data is great; my crypto fills are realistic. Please consider Level 2 data for stocks too. Hopefully, it’s not too expensive for Alpaca. But if it is, you could add a new pricing tier to compensate.
