Hi, I’ve been developing an idea for an app for a year now that works EXCLUSIVELY with Alpaca, where users collaborate by contributing their CPUs to search for the best models (RNN, CONV, TRANSFORMER) for stocks that can be leveraged as inputs for portfolio balancing models (e.g., Black-Litterman model, Markowitz, etc.). The application works very well “this year it significantly outperformed the SPY index with low risk” but it could achieve much more satisfying results with many optimized stock models from a community, like a sort of distributed computing approach.
However, I’d like to recover the costs of maintaining the server that hosts the data and models found by the community, support, and development hours. Since I don’t have a company and can’t open one, I was wondering if I could request donations through Patreon without running into any legal issues with Alpaca?
