What is the difference between alpaca-trade-api, alpaca-py?

I have to sardonically laugh as my app just got broken by upgrading to a supported version of python and the response from alpaca is to upgrade my app to use alpaca-py from alpaca-trade-api. When I searched for how to do such a conversion, I found was this question that has received no responses.
