  1. Is Alpaca Elite available to individuals or only businesses
  2. With the $30K balance requirement, will that also satisfy the PDT requirements for day traders
  3. If the market data subscription is included for Elite customers, what happens to an existing subscription? Will that be automatically credited and cancelled?
  4. How do I sign up? Seems like I cannot do this online on my own?

Disclaimer: I’m not affiliated with Alpaca other than being an individual trader with Alpaca Elite status so take my answer with a grain of salt.

  1. It is available to individuals.
  2. Yes
  3. Market data subscription is only available for free after depositing $100K. I don’t know what happens if you already have a subscription.
  4. If you just set up a normal account, I think you just get those status flags automatically if you deposit enough money. You do have to opt in manually after your $30K deposit if you want to enable the Elite trade router features.
