I am using the polygon api via Alpaca integration. In the stock financials data there is a field called ‘shareFactor’. For example, for stock ADAP shareFactor is 0.167, while the ‘shares’ value is 630993866. Majority of the stocks seem to have the shareFactor value as 1.0.
What is shareFactor? How is it calculated or how is it related to the ‘shares’ field?
