Hi there, I am new to Alpaca and I trying to sell ETH/BTC in my paper trading account. I can place the IOC order for any amount and it is created. However is immediately canceled for an unknown reason. I am still new to this, so I am not sure if it is something I am doing wrong, or if it is an issue with my paper trading account.
@CryptX First off welcome! If you are submitting orders with a ‘time in force’ of IOC (ie Immediate Or Cancel) then what is happening is your order cannot be immediately filled. Since you specified IOC, the order is therefore canceled. Unless there is a definite reason for specifying IOC, it is generally best to simply submit regular market or limit orders. Try eliminating the IOC constraint. Your orders should fill (though perhaps not immediately).
