Some brokerages support automated dividend reinvestments as fractional shares (DRIP).

It would be very helpful for Alpaca to support this, because it would reduce the gap in performance between reality and backtesting for algorithmic trading strategies backtested against adjusted close data, which already factors in dividend reinvestment.

I will be interested as well in this feature, i’m planning to make it on my own trough api, but if it’s available from the platform itself woud be cool.
