Any idea when is Alpaca planning to support SPX options trading?

Thanks

Thanks, While I like Alpaca for its simplicity, I am stung by its slow lack of support for things that real traders need. I am forced to move to IBKR until Alpaca can be on par with others.

Thanks @ven7782 . This issue has been a dealbreaker for me. I would like to hear your thoughts about it!

I’m really hoping Alpaca can support this soon. IBKR is a hugely messy API, requires keeping a resource-hogging Java app open, and weekly 2FA. Alpaca has by far the cleanest API, it’s a pity because SPY is tax-wise inferior to SPX.

Agree. Alpaca is designed for serious algo trading and is very straightforward. I am forced to use IBKR with their messy setup for index based options until Alpaca supports them.
