I opened my account before the new PDT rules were in place and I suspect that it was converted to PDT, which requires a $25K deposit. However, AMT I have $2300 in my account, but I’m unable to trade. I get error “Order failed: account is restricted to liquidation only”. My balances currently show no buying power and no margin.
How can I rectify this so that I can start trading?
@johnzcompumail the first thing to do is determine why the account is restricted to liquidation only. That typically happens if you have a margin call. I can check a few things if you provide your account number or the email associated with the account. You can also email a support request to support@alpaca.markets and they will be able to help you too.

Support is in the loop, but they haven’t provided any assistance yet.
Appreciate your help.
@johnzcompumail Support will get back to you with more detail, but it looks like there was an issue with one of your deposits and there is a wait period before you can use those funds.
Thanks Dan. Im not sure what the issue could be. There’s been $2300+ in the account for months and my purchase today was only for 1 share of CRM. I deposited another $5000 today but that should not have impacted my ability to execute a trade on a single share of CRM.
I appreciate your time on this.
