# How to use the screener in v2 API (2023)

I’m trying to use the screener from the API here: [https://github.com/alpacahq/alpaca-py/blob/master/alpaca/data/historical/screener.py](https://github.com/alpacahq/alpaca-py/blob/master/alpaca/data/historical/screener.py)

I see it’s not included in **init** , so I am not able to import it?

I can’t find documentation for this, wondering if I can get help on basic use.
