# How to find Secret Key

In my paper trading account I can only see API Key ID. How should I get ‘secret\_key’?

Login, go to your paper trading view.  
On the right hand side, next to your keys, click on the view button  
You’ll see your key id, and you can generate/regenerate a new key.  
The secret is only displayed when you are still on this screen. When you navigate off, you will need to generate the secret again.

There is only Key ID available, where to find Secret key?

@Jay_Vishvakarma The `secret_key` displays only once immediately after you click “Regenerate” to get a new `API_key`. Ensure you copy and save it. If you loose the secret\_key you will need to regenerate the keys. It doesn’t appear any place in the UI (or even the backend Alpaca systems for that matter).
