# How to determine to which exchange the order was sent?

How can I know to which of the exchanges (I guess these are the options: “NYSE”, “NASDAQ”, “ARCA”) my order was sent to?

@piatnik Generally $0 commission Alpaca orders do not execute on an exchange. $0 commission orders are routed to Single Dealer Platforms (SDPs) such as Virtue, Citadel, and Jane Street. These routings are disclosed quarterly in [SEC rule 606 reports](https://files.alpaca.markets/disclosures/library/SEC+606a1+-+2025Q3.pdf) which all brokers are required to file. FINRA has a good article on where orders execute. Take a look at it [here](https://www.finra.org/investors/insights/where-do-stocks-trade). That may help in understanding what happens to an order once it’s received by Alpaca.
