# First Algorithm to Start

hello all!!

I recently came across [this post](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27414677) on HackerNews that describes an interesting algorithm that I’d like to test with Alpaca: [GitHub - KibaeKim/SectorTradingAlgorithm](https://github.com/KibaeKim/SectorTradingAlgorithm).

I have a couple of questions:

1. what are people’s thoughts on this as a starting algorithm??
2. what would people recommend to build it in (Google Colab, Spreadsheet, NodeJS, etc.)??

any indication/direction would be appreciated!!
